Surrey Masters Cross Country Championships Saturday 2nd November

Twelve Guildford runners competed in the Surrey Masters Cross Country Championships held on the undulating parkland course at Morden Park on Saturday.
In the F35 category Amy-Jo Clarke (4th), Cecilia Siruffo (5th) and Michelle Collins (10th) picked up team silver medals, with Sarah Fiddes providing excellent backup in 14th. In her first cross country race since school days, Beth Davies finished a very strong 10th in the F45 category. Susanna Harrison picked up our first gold medal of the day with a clear victory in the F55 race.
More medals were to come in the men's race, with Terry Booth taking silver in the M50s, Mark Tennyson gold and Dave Williams bronze in the M55s. These three combined to pick up gold medals in the M50 team category. There were also great runs from Rob Marcus (6th M40), Phil Pryke (9th M45) and Jon Monk (6th M50).
