The middle distance group trained by Keith, Tina, Claire and Jon will train in Stoke Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 18th. The group will meet in the coach lay by at the top of the track at 5pm.

The Spectrum track is not going to be ready owing to the relaying turning out to be a much bigger job than first anticipated by the contractors and the provisional date we have been given for the completion of the work is now Saturday, November 3rd.
For the next few weeks training arrangements are as follows:
Under 13 and 15 Boys and Girls – No training except for middle distance groups – see below
The Spectrum track is to be relaid between July 16th and August 26th and for this time the following arrangements have been made for Club training
July 17th and July 19th
Under 13 and Under 15 athletes - no training.
In the recent Surrey Athletic Championships held at Kingston, the Club won gold medals in all age group from Under 13 to senior with wins both on the track and the field in both the men's and the women's events.
It was a busy week for the Club's athletes both at home and abroad.
Competing in the World Para Athletic Championships at the Olympic Stadium Georgina Hermitage lived up to all expectations and finished on top of the podium for both the T37 100m and 400m and breaking her own world record with a time of 60.29 in the latter event.
The Club's athletes have been having an outstandingly successful season both with International recognition and club records falling. Having already done the qualifying time, Adelle Tracey following her second place in the 800m in the World Championship Trials in Birmingham, has won automatic selection for the World Championships in London in August. On Sunday she set a new personal best of 2.00.34 competing in the Olympic Stadium in the Diamond league 800.
The Club had a very successful County Championships at Kingsmeadow with a record gold medal tally of fifteen. Eighteen silver medals and ten bronze medals were also won.

Claudia Lance Jones won the U17 National Inter County Championship title held at Loughborough, with a very well timed finish, and was part of the winning Surrey team.
The U15 girls also ran well well in very poor conditions with Olivia finishing 44th, Ellie 50th and Charlotte 96th.
In the U13 girls race Suzie and Eliza both ran very well with Suzie finishing 14th and Eliza 49th.
Pippa put in a fine run to finish 24th in the U20 ladies races.
ALEX SHAW. As a result of her medal winning performance at the National Indoor Championships Alex Shaw was invited to run for England in the Home International in Cardiff in the 400m. In a combined U20 /U18 race Alex (16) won the U18 race.
At the recent Sussex Indoor County Championships ALEX MEARNS won the gold medal in the U17 80m hurdles in a time of 9.77 secs
Congratulations to Alex who as an U17 athelete ran in the U20 400m at the National Indoor Championships. Alex won her heat in 56.37 (an indoor PB) and then came 3rd in the final in 56.48.
Congratulations also to Harry Boyd who came 7th in the U20 men's 1500m final in 4.02 (an indoor PB).
