Brighton Marathon 10K Road Race

This past weekend saw a number of Gees head down to the sunny south coast to take on the Brighton 10k. The event organisers had lined up an incredibly fast field and the runners did not disappoint once the gun sounded.

In good running conditions, but for a little wind, 6 runners broke 29 minutes with Nick Goolab setting a new course record, breaking the tape in 28:22

Guildford’s John Sanderson backed up last weekends performance at the National Road Relays, coming home in 16th place in a new PB of 29:46

National 12-stage Road Relays

This past weekend saw the Senior Men make their first trip to the iconic Sutton Park for the National 12-stage Road Relays.

Following a successful showing at the Southern 12-stage Road Relays in Milton Keynes last month, the Gees qualified for this historic event that features some of the best clubs in the country.

Almost perfect conditions greeted the team on arrival with only a mild wind to contend with as well as the ‘undulating’ lap around Sutton Park and a number of ferociously competitive teams.

Spectrum Track Relaying Update

The Spectrum track is not going to be ready owing to the relaying turning out to be a much bigger job than first anticipated by the contractors and the provisional date we have been given for the completion of the work is now  Saturday, November 3rd.

For the next few weeks training arrangements are as follows:
