Inter County Championships and two new club records

It is the time in the season for Inter County Championships and a number of Guildford and Godalming athletes who are not away enjoying themselves on holiday have been representing Surrey.

In the Senior Inter Counties seventeen year old Jemma Wood competing in the heats of the 200m broke the Club's Senior and U20 200m record with her time of 24.64, a time which took her in to the final where she finished eighth.

In the U13 Twelve County competition three Guildford athletes helped the Surrey teams tovictory. In winning the A Long Jump Daisy Little leapt out to 4m 93 to break the Club record which stood at 4m 73.

Suzi Lecoutre ran a lifetime best of 2.25.11 to win the B 800m a time that would have given her second place in the A race. Laurence Pritchard was fourth in the high jump with a near best leap of 1m 50.
