GGAC had another very successful afternoon in the SEAA Road Relays at the Rushmoor Arena on Saturday.
With age groups competing from U13 up to M60 masters for GGAC it really was a full club effort
Kicking off the day were the junior races:
U13 Boys 8th out of 63 teams
U13 Girls 22nd out of 48 teams
U15 Boys 33rd out of 69 teams
U15 Girls 18th out of 63 teams
U15 Girls 43rd out of 63 teams
U17 Girls 12th out of 47 teams
Plus we had some fantastic individual performances with 3 top 10 and 9 top 20 legs
Seniors
Our Ladies A team (Suzie Monk, Hannah Knights, Carolyne Baxter and Evie Warren) finished in 11th place as did our men’s A team of Tom Foster, Dan Wallis, George Dollner, John Sanderson, Ed Dixon and Callum Job following on from their win at the Surrey County relays 2 weeks earlier
We also finished 12th B team (Jacob Plummer, Charlie Kershaw, James Harvey, Mike Alwin, Marcus Brimicombe and Ollie Gosden) and 5th C team (Ethan Kendall, Simon Zieleniewski, Stu Johnson, Terry Booth, Mike Garnett and Ali Wilkie).
However, our highest placed team of the day were the M50s of Dave Williams (fastest M60), Nick Tearle, Guy Holcroft and Mark Tennyson, who finished in 4th place, just 30 seconds outside of the medals.
Notably this was the first outing for the GGAC Tent in all its Green splendour, look out for it at future events!
Next up is the National Relays where we again hope to field as many teams as possible to take on the best the country has to offer.
