We welcome all athletic abilities and age groups from school year 7, (age 11) and upwards.

Senior Athletes

Whether you are an elite athlete or just new to athletics, looking to meet and train with other athletes then, you are more than welcome to join us. 

We welcome all new senior athletes of all ages and abilities. The only expectation however, is that if you train with our club, we would expect to see you representing the club in the leagues we actively compete in each year, be it on the track, road or through the cross country mud.

Junior Athletes

We take children onto our  Pre-Waiting list from the 1st of September, in the year they reach school year 5, with a view to them being offered a place in our club from the Autumn of their school year 7, depending on numbers in our current training groups and numbers on the current waiting list.

Please note that this is reflective of the changes in the England Athletics competition age groups (April 2026)

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR A SCHOOL YEAR 5 CHILD TO GO ONTO OUR LIST UNTIL THE 1st OF SEPTEMBER.

Due to the popularity of the Club, we have waiting lists in most of our Junior age groups.  If you require further information regarding the Club or would like your child to be added to the relevant waiting list, please complete the application form. Please make it clear which school year your child is currently in when applying.

You should receive an e mail in response to your application, confirming that your child’s name is now on the waiting list. If you do not receive a response within 14 days please email your query to our Membership Secretary at membership(at)ggac.co.uk replacing (at) with @.

You should update our Membership Secretary if your circumstances or contact details change in any way. We would like to keep our information up to date so that we can contact you when there is a place.

Training takes place at our track, based at: The Spectrum Leisure Centre, Parkway, Guildford GU1 1UP

Our main training evenings are on Tuesday and Thursday 6:30pm-8:00pm.

PARENTS ONLY CAN APPLY ON BEHALF OF THEIR CHILDREN. WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS DIRECTLY FROM CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE.
