National 6 Stage Road Relays – Sutton Park – Saturday 4th October 2025.
Guildford & Godalming’s Senior Men battled well to finish 23rd at the National 6 Stage road relays at a blustery Sutton Park. The men were on a run of three successive top 20 finishes – last year they finished in 16th place, 11th in 2023 and 18th in 2022.
Cam Reilly, Ollie Jermy (u20), Tom Foster, Adrien Royer, Abel Davies (u20), and Nick Lightfoot were the six who all performed brilliantly over the 5.5km course to finish in a cumulative time of 1hr 43:03.
Two weeks earlier at Aldershot, the men had qualified for these National relays through their ‘B’ team – who were the 4th ‘B’ team on the day and 27th team overall. Qualification to the National event was dependent on being either one of the first twenty-five ‘A’ teams or one of a maximum of five ‘B’ teams – provided they were ahead of the twenty-fifth ‘A’ team.

Southern 6 Stage Road Relays – Rushmoor Arena, Aldershot – Saturday 20th September 2025.
Marcus Etheridge, Abel Davies (u20), Adrien Royer, Kay Davies, Nick Lightfoot and Jake Bowles were the six who gained the qualification spot in a cumulative time of 1hr 56:38. By this time twenty three ‘A’ teams had already crossed the finish line, leaving just two ‘A’ team spots unclaimed.

The penultimate ‘A’ team place went to Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow, who were followed home by the Hercules Wimbledon ‘B’ team to conclude the maximum quota of five ‘B’ teams. The final qualification place went to the Sutton & District ‘A’ team, who finished in 30th place overall in a cumulative time of 1Hr 57:36. Just four seconds later the G&G ‘A’ team of Tom Foster, Ollie Jermy (u20), Will Ford, Marcus Brimicombe, Callum Job and Andrew Welch crossed the finish line in 1hr 57:40. Four seconds difference over six legs of a 6km circuit consisting of two undulating laps – very fine margins!

The G’s also put out a third Senior Men’s team of Matt McDaniel, Alex Wright, Tom Hadley (u20), Matthew Reeves, Neil Freeman-Jones, and Alex Ford.
The G’s Masters performed extremely well, with the M50’s team of Ollie Gosden, Nick Tearle, Ian Acreman and Terry Booth taking the gold. Ollie also collected a second gold medal for running the fastest M50 leg of the day. Showing great strength in depth the club also completed a second M50 team comprising of Phil Pryke, Guy Holcroft, Ian Davies and Robin Boon.

The Senior Women race over four legs of the same 6km circuit and do not have to qualify for the National event. EvieWarren, Hannah Slater, Isabel W and Tilly C combined well to complete the senior team.
The W50 team of Laura Hales, Nicole Brown and Nici Cahusac finished in second place, with Nici also running the fastest individual leg in this age category.

The M60’s team of Mark Tennyson, Gavin Everson, David Williams and Brian O’Kane – finished 4th, just six seconds away from the medals.
The G’s also completed a W40 team with Zoe Rowe, Christine Robinson and Rebecca Brennan running well to finish in tenth place.
